Shakiso Station, located in Udo Hadama village (kebele), Shakiso, Guji, Ethiopia, receives cherries from more than 500 smallholder farmers. Situated at 1,950–2,100 meters above sea level, it serves as an important hub for specialty coffee production in the Guji Zone. The cherries cultivated by farmers and delivered to the station include local varieties such as Badessa, Wolichu, and Kudhume, as well as improved cultivars like 74158, 74112, and 74110. The station employs 14 permanent staff and around 250 seasonal workers during harvest, ensuring equal opportunities and ethical labor practices. It has also obtained international certifications such as Organic and RFA, reflecting its commitment to sustainable production and fair trade.

Carefully selected cherries are dried on raised African beds for 10–14 days. They are turned regularly during the day to ensure even drying, resulting in coffees with floral aromas and complex fruit-forward profiles.
