La Esperanza is a third-generation heritage farm where coffee has been cultivated for approximately 50 years. About ten years ago, the farm began planting varieties other than those traditionally grown in the region in order to participate in the Cup of Excellence. For approximately seven years, La Esperanza has been an active participant in the competition, achieving second place in 2021.

The ripe grains are collected and then immersed in water to remove those that float. The mucilage is extracted, and then it is left to ferment in previously fermented mucilage in hermetically sealed barrels for 24 hours. Then, it is left to dry in canopies for 15 days, and finally, it is left to stabilize for 15 days.
