The farms contributing to it are located at an altitude between 1750 and 2150 m.a.s.l. The main varieties are Castillo, Pink bourbon, Caturro, Colombia, Typica. This North Huila group lot showcases the success of our partnership with the local community through our program “Productores del Futuro”. Despite the challenges posed by internal armed conflicts (guerrillas), our presence has enabled us to establish personal connections with farmers and support them in improving their coffee production. Santa Maria, Coffee Quest's North Huila group lot, is the result of the Productores del Futuro program, which has helped build strong relationships with farmers despite regional challenges. Grown at altitudes between 1,750 and 2,150 m.a.s.l., the lot features varieties such as Castillo, Pink Bourbon, and Caturra. Consistently scoring 84 points, it offers a balanced cup with soft plum and citrus notes, making it ideal for espresso or filter. Led by Alberto Vaquiro, the team works with farmers to improve quality through innovative methods like anaerobic fermentation, while also offering fair prices and supporting social programs to empower the community.
