At WASSE in the Osaka-Kansai Expo, TYPICA participated in the exhibition program “Voyage To The Future”, organized by the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation (SMRJ). Under the theme “Enhancing the Sustainability of Delicious Coffee,” TYPICA presented a panel exhibition. Over the five-day period, approximately 25,000 visitors attended the event, allowing us to introduce people of all ages and backgrounds to the challenges facing coffee-producing regions and to TYPICA’s ongoing initiatives.

“Voyage To The Future” highlighted small and medium-sized enterprises that leverage their strengths to tackle social issues and move toward the future. These companies were symbolically portrayed as “challengers embarking on a voyage across an unexplored ocean,” with their future-oriented products, services, and technologies showcased across five thematic value areas. TYPICA was featured as part of the theme “Inclusive Ideas That Leave No One Behind.”

Due to climate change, there are concerns that areas suitable for Arabica coffee production may drastically shrink by 2050. In response, TYPICA aims to enhance the sustainability of coffee by directly connecting producers, roasters, and consumers. In this exhibition, we presented not only our efforts in direct trade of green coffee beans, but also our initiative to co-create a “celebratory culture” in which coffee lovers around the world come together to honor the coffee harvest. Through this, we hoped to spark visitors’ interest in participating in shaping the future of coffee.

In addition to participating in this event, TYPICA also hosted “OKAGESAMA COFFEE EXPO 2025 – Cultivating the Forest of Gratitude Through a Cup of Coffee” during the Osaka-Kansai Expo, providing countless visitors with the opportunity to co-create the future of coffee. We see this as an important first step and will continue to nurture a celebratory culture of coffee.
