TYPICA President Kasai Featured in Interview on “AMP”

An interview with TYPICA’s President and Director, Tatsuya Kasai, was published on AMP, a website operated by PR Consulting Dentsu Inc., on February 19, 2025.

AMP is a business media platform geared toward millennials that aims to “amplify intellectual curiosity and inspire readers.” The site shares a wide range of stories across technology, design, and culture, with the goal of building a better future together.

In the interview, Kasai speaks about the structural issues behind the ongoing surge in international green coffee prices, recently reaching record highs, and shares TYPICA’s vision for a coffee culture rooted in gratitude:

“When we talk about TYPICA’s vision for a ‘culture of celebration in coffee trading,’ we’re referring to a cycle of gratitude: gratitude to the land that gives birth to the coffee fruit, to the people who harvest and process the beans, to those who transport them, to the roasters, and to everyone who enjoys a cup. Through this cycle, we aim to protect the livelihoods of those involved in production, safeguard the natural environment, and pass delicious coffee on to future generations. That’s the kind of enduring culture we’re working to create.”

TYPICA remains committed to co-creating this culture of celebration in coffee trading, together with everyone involved in the coffee supply chain and all who love coffee, as we work to build a more sustainable structure for the coffee industry as a whole.
