On January 21, 2025, TYPICA’s Social Impact Officer, Shizuka Funayama, took part in a business dialogue with Dr. Peter R. Ramsaroop, Head of Guyana’s Investment Agency. The meeting was held at Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as part of a delegation program organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dr. Ramsaroop, who reports directly to the Office of the President of Guyana, visited Japan with a strong interest in agriculture. In response, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry invited seven Japanese companies, including TYPICA, with business activities in the agricultural sector to join the exchange.

During the meeting, Dr. Ramsaroop first provided an overview of investment opportunities in Guyana’s agricultural sector. This was followed by presentations from each Japanese company on their businesses, products, and services.

Dr. Ramsaroop actively engaged with each participant, offering feedback and expressing high expectations for potential business collaboration between Japanese companies and Guyana.

TYPICA will continue working closely with both the Japanese government and governments in coffee-producing countries to advance initiatives that promote sustainability in great-tasting coffee.
